1. When Nixon died
flags were at half staff for a month, so I'm guessing probably around the saem amount of time. Funeral is the middle of next week.

3. I don't think that they've announced the burial time. Half-staff: 30 days.

4. Allen, It's Reagan Burial Week
The body goes from public viewing in California, cross-country to the Capitol rotunda where he'll sit for awhile. Then they'll have a "state funeral" and he'll be flown back across country for a private burial somewhere. Probably, the Reagan Library.

8. Gross?
It's freaking bizarre! A week-long Mardi-Gras for a simple-minded man who slipped into a coma ten years ago?

But, it's America under Bush...

9. Yes. JFK was buried in Arlington 3 days after he was shot
Here we have a guy everyone expected to die and it still takes a week?
Fucking overtly political. :puke:

6. Standard protocol: Flag at half staff for a month
when a President dies.

I don't know what they're gonna do when Bush dies, especially after President Kerry sends him to the Hague.

9/22/01

(snip)

Spokesman Ari Fleischer said the president would chair his National Security Council meeting this morning via teleconference from Camp David. On Sunday, when U.S. flags are returned to full staff for the first time since the attacks, Bush plans to join Marines at the presidential retreat.
