WashingtonPost.com blocking articles if you block ads? |
|
I have SpyBot installed on my computer and when I go to the WP site, it alerts me about an ad installer on the website. No big deal, as it is the same one used on CNN's site. I tell SpyBot to block it and the article does not appear.
Anyone have any thoughts about how I can circumvent this? Anyone else have this same problem?
I understand their site is ad-supported and I have no objections to banner ads or even the model used on Salon, but I think it is ridiculous to require you to allow spyware to be installed on your comp to view their site ... especially considering how important the WP is as a news source.
