What did Condi say @ Sea Island ? |
|
I was half listening to Condiliessa being interviewed about the G8. I though I heard her make an off hand comment calling it Shell Island or something like that--am I awake yet?

2. Isn't that where all the old school Neo Nazis went to eugenics.... |
|
training back in the pre WWII days? Jekyll Island GA? Where the high rolling GOPers helped the Nazis figure out how to build a master race? Wasn't Prescott Bush there? I wonder if the G-8 has anything to do with the eugenics movement?

3. I've been wondering this too..... |
|
I wonder how close Sea Island is to Jekyll Island - I've not heard about the eugenics training/planning, but I remember hearing that was where the world bankers used to meet and established the U.S. federal monetary system.

"Sea Island" is a resort (I think) on St. Simons Island, across the Intercoastal from Brunswick. Jekyll Is. is south of St. Simons and north of Cumberland Is. (where JFK, jr got married). As long as it's away from Tybee Is. where I have friends and family.

5. Sea Island is actually separated from St. Simons by a sliver of water |
|
so it is an island (unto itself!).
My brother is very pissed because they are not allowing any windsurfing off St. Simons during this time. Hey, maybe THAT will get him to switch!!!!!

6. It was chosen because "Babs & Poppy" celebrated honneymoon and |
|
and 50th Wedding Aniversary there...it's quiet, cut off and comes under the State of Georgia Jurisdiction meaning that declaring "Marshall Law" is just perfect.
Washington Post had an article about it...unfortunately it archived when Reagan died. But it's the truth...he chose it because of his family ties to it (Bab's spent her high school years in a Charleston, SC Private School...Ashley Hall) and so she has ties to the SC "Lowcountry."
I have ties to that area too. My ancestors all arrived in Savannah and Charleston.. and I have relatives there which I try to keep in touch with.
Babs & Poppy and Chimp...and the "Southern Connection." {Sarcasm Alert}

7. It's quiet, cut off and the cheapest house is over a million bucks. |
|
How quaint!
Another thing: no airstrip on Sea Island. Are they flying in to St. Simons, or in to Brunswick? Brunswick's airport is actually north of town, and that is quite a drive, through town (WHERE THEY WOULD SEE SOME POOR PEOPLE!!!!!) then over the causeway.
Also, in 1991 there was an airplane crash at the Brunswick airport that killed a state congressman (I think...I'll look it up).
Be careful, folks!
