Talk about a dysfunctional family........ |
|
Today I watched the coverage of the service for Reagan where they had just the immediate family and a few close friends. For those of you who watched it,did you notice Nancy,Patti, and Ronnie didn't speak or even look at Michael? They all went up to the casket together, and Michael stayed back until they were leaving before he went up. I thought that was really strange. You would think they would have at least acknowledged each other, since Michael is Reagan's son from his first marriage. I can't say as I blame Nancy,Ronnie and Patti. Michael is such a radical hate spewing ass wipe I imagine they are totally embarrassed to be in the same room with him.I enjoyed watching him get snubbed today....it was well worth it seeing it happen.....and on national TV too! Of course none of the media whores or pundits mentioned it....it's been a Saint Reagan love-fest for 3 days now.....with the rest of the week and more to come. I am so tired of all the coverage of him......I say enough already! Geez...

I noticed that as well... |

and it was mentioned by the local Los Angeles area CBS coverage. It was so obvious and awkward. I imagine that Mrs. Reagan and her blood children find it tawdry that Michael trades in on the family name the way that he does.
They appear to be a lot classier than he is.
I wish all of them peace during this difficult time. My wonderful, beloved grandmother suffered from Alzheimer's for six years and it is the most horrific, cruel condition. Nonetheless, my mother, grandfather and uncles took wonderful, beautiful care of her. The disease renders the brightest, most vital people absolutely pitiful.
The Reagans are to be commended for caring for the late President as magnificently as they did. While I never supported his policies, I respected that he always earned what came to him (i.e. 2 landslide elections, assisted by millions of 'Reagan Democrats'), and that he wasn't a hateful, spiteful jerk.
Please let's rise above some of the tasteless negativity being spouted on the site, and follow the kind of class, grace, decorum and humanity that John and Teresa Kerry are showing during this period of mourning. There will be plenty of time for critique and campaigning once the funeral is over.
