do you think George W. Bush holds a grudge against Reagan? |
|
we all know bush is the type who holds grudges. part of his wanting to be president was because his dad lost and he wanted to "show them". and the same with saddam. he would rather have went after saddam than a guy involved in killing thousands of americans (bin laden). and we know the whole primary with his dad and reagan before reagan picked bush for vp. and of course reagan was always more popular among the gop than his dad was.
but he also may hold a personal grudge since when bush ran for congress some decades ago, reagan supported bush's opponent in the primary. and i believe bush lost.
and of course there is the issue with ron jr who hates bush.
do you remember the statements released after news of reagan's death? i thought the ones from clinton and kerry were much more heartfelt than the one from bush.
maybe it will make bush miserable to be compared or expected to be like reagan, a man he may not really like at all.

And I also believe that Nancy will try to put Dimbo in his place if Shrubbery goes overboard.
Werther the media will report it...?

2. Nancy will not do anything overtly, that is for sure. Bush*'s resents even |
|
his father. So far the only thing he doesn't seem to resent is his version of God. I wonder how long it will take until he disavows that father too.

5. I think this is a fair question |
|
Anything is open to enquirey. There are a number of people whom can be held accountable for harm or mischief long after they are gone. However I am interested in knowing more about your point of view.
Just wondering, who are "we" ?

Reagan is far more warmly regarded and liked. I don't think, I can't imagine Bush ever being thougt of as much of a communicator.
Even though Ronald's campaign cheated during the debates and engineered the hostage return, he also has the distinction of being elected.
Its sad that the Chimp does not stack up to Reagan. At best Reagan was a mean spirited ideologue who was good at creating feel-good myths, and reading his lines. That the Chimp is not even as bright as Ronnie speaks volumes.
Yes, I believe as insecure as Bush seems to be, he will resent Reagan even as he wraps himself in the Reagan mantle to prop up his own image.
The Chimp has never accomplished anything on his own.
