2. I was going to...but then I couldn't recall
the known unknowns...though it had something to do with saving christmas by saving the nutmeg (snicker)...so Rummy is filling in for me. Not that he recalls either...but CNN felt a republican not recalling was more acceptable to the masses than an American who did not think Reagan was great. ...so, I won't be in the million person "I remember when" raygun-o-thon.

When I was young and impressionable, somehow I wanted to be the smug character played by Michael J Fox on "Family Ties". So in 1980, I held a mock election with a 3rd grade class and proudly proclaimed Ronald Reagan our new class president ;-(

I didn't reform until my senior year of high school. Proudly, the first presidential vote I cast was for Bill Clinton.
