First thing next week, Kerry should name VP pick... |
|
That's the best way to put the Reagan brouhaha behind us...

because then we wont have any build up to the convention. and it will be too obvious it was because of reagan he announced.

2. I totally AGREE! I'm sick and tired of waiting for Kerry to make a damn |
|
decision on who is going to be our next VP! I want a bumper sticker that says Kerry/???? for President! I will not put one on my car until I have a VP to rally behind as well. He's played this card as long as he can if you ask me, it's time to show us his hand and make a decision, then get off his ass and start putting the nails in dumbo's coffin as well. Bury bush right along with Reagan. Reagonomics can be put to rest as well. I'm sick and tired of this secretive, highly corrupted administration, let's move ON!

3. sorry, but vp's traditionally are announced at earliest a few days before |
|
before the convention. kerry isn't waiting any longer than anyone else. and he has been going around and campaigning and saying many things.

4. Reagan is not going away for weeks |
|
so might as well understand that and wait it out.
Patience is what is called for here, introducing a VP pick now would just look crassly political and would be a big turnoff. It would also look like a sign of panic, as if Reagan really DOES or will have an impact on this election.
The thing is, Bush isnt really getting any focus at this point either, so things are getting locked into place from before his death, which at that point werent looking that bad for Kerry.
In a couple of weeks, the media and the nation will tire of the Reagan stories and focus and get back to the election.

8. yeah, rather than positive coverage they would waste time defending it |
|
rather than use the announcement to get positive coverage and momentum. they would be wasting time defending their decision to announce early. especially since just before reagan died they said the announcement wont be made until late july around the time of convention or at the convention.

6. Why do you assume that Kerry hasn't already made his |
|
decision. He's just waiting for the right time to announce it.

9. The best thing to do is... |
|
let the damn thing blow itself out like the finale to "Friends". It is over when something else busts loose on the frontpage and no doubt that'll happen sooner rather than later. The Veep pick is one of the few media trumps JK has to play this summer he should husband it carefully.
