Pataki Closes NYS Offices on Friday . . .
Edited on Tue Jun-08-04 01:25 PM by djg21
GOVERNOR PATAKI DECLARES FRIDAY, JUNE 11TH AS STATEWIDE DAY OF PRAYER AND REMEMBRANCE IN HONOR OF PRESIDENT REAGAN

Governor George E. Pataki today issued a Proclamation designating Friday, June 11, 2004 as a Statewide Day of Prayer and Remembrance in New York in honor of President Ronald Wilson Reagan. The Governor also directed that all New York State agencies and offices close on Friday in observance of the funeral of the 40th President of the United States.

(snip)

This is pure partisan crap. Reagan wasn't royalty. And now we'll get a republican pep-rally all day Friday.

Then again, I get a day off! Reagan finally did something I can appreciate!

1. Gov Pawlenty (R - MN) is going to the funeral
maybe he will give MN the day off, too.
