I don't know how many of you guys have read Mark Crispen Miller or anyone else on the subject of Bush's tendency to really, royally eff up the English language and just look like a complete and total moron whenever he's talking about something he couldn't give a shit less about.
This week, Bush will be eulogizing Reagan. Does anyone honestly believe that Dubya could give a flying fuck about Reagan? If you'll accept my premise that he honestly doesn't, then how badly will he screw up during this funeral?

1. This should be interesting |
|
If I remember correctly, Bush*'s daddy and the Reagans didn't get along at all. I can't imagine that little Dubya took too kindly to the Reagan's failure to acknowledge the greatness of the Bush Dynasty ( :puke: ) Hence, I can't even imagine anything in the eulogy being in the least bit sincere.
Will that make him prone to more screwups? Depends on how long and how hard he practices and what Karen Hughes writes for him.
I'm tempted to watch....barf-bag handy.......

2. I think he does give a flying fuck about Reagan |

but he'll still screw up the eulogy. Not necessarily because he doesn't care, but mostly because he's a fucking idiot.

4. I Think Bush Cares About Reagan |
|
The way he cares about the Pope.
Which is to say, they share a few of the same opinions, and Bush is willing to use him to further his own political purposes, and that's pretty much it.

5. Have you ever got that "embarrassed" feeling |
|
being in the presence of someone who wigged-out, or messed up? That uncomfortable queeziness that makes you shift around and not want to be there?
Bush is so bad that I get that feeling even when I'm alone watching the TV. It's that bad, which probably explains why I can't watch his speeches. I come here to DU where some of us have a 'gift' of being able to stomach a whole Bush speech and get there thoughts on a post here without wretching on their keyboards.
