Poll question: Did the Reagan/Bush campaign commit treason in 1980?
If you don't know what I am talking about, get a copy of "Cover-up: Behind the Iran-Contra Affair." It contains evidence that Bush met with Iranian officials to delay the release of American hostages and offered officials in the government of Iran (a country that was holding American citizens hostage) arms so that Reagan would be more likely to win the election. Also, check out the part of the documentary showing a CIA planned and orchestrated bombing that killed American newsmen and that was traced back to a CIA plot to rally the country against a supposed enemy.

5. They buried "Cover-up" like they tried to bury "Fahrenheit 911"
I had to drive 70 miles to see the movie.

4. Absolutely.
The deal is cofirmed by high-level officials in Russian, Israel, the Palestinian Athority, France, Iran and a couple of others (Jordan, Egypt?). I doubt all of them were in cahoots -- that WOULD be quite a conspiracy.

6. And again in 82, in 83, and in 84 - but who is counting?
Congress allows money to be spent on a given item. Reagan stole the money and lied to Congress.

Add in a wag-the dog war that folks died for so that Reagan could kill the bad PR from the 300 dead in Lebanon, and you have quite a case - if the media was not controlled by the GOP

Indeed impeachment articles were part of the Iran-Contra committee's game plan - until the media made clear that they would protect Reagan (now we are told the Congress liked Reagan so much that they dropped the articles of impeachment - only a few weeks after they agreed it was to be part of the investigation - want to buy a bridge?)
