ORRIN HATCH on CNN: Stem Cell Research OK-Embryos only cells... |
|
...and not a human being until implanted in a womb!!! (I'm trying to quote what he just said to Judy Woodruff and saying he wanted to encourage Prez Bush to reconsider his stance on stem cells) but I can't believe I just heard that SOB say that....
WTF!!! So, these hypocritical evangelical a**holes really don't give a shit about the "sanctity of life"....they don't consider an embryo a human until implanted in a womb???? They REALLY JUST WANT WOMEN TO BE INCUBATORS!!!!
:grr:
Anyone else see this??? Did I really hear this correctly????

Sometimes you have to withhold the criticism or they'll retreat, sliiithering back into their shell. Just accept their cognitive dissonance. However they rationalize it, it's the right choice for everyone.

probably someone in his family is suffering from some condition which could be helped by this.
At least it may help us get it going, but I do not trust his sincerity...

I don't think they're going to make the diffentiation here. Of course, you never know with these people, they're the ones who call torture a frat party.

11. Don't get me wrong-I think this is great that Hatch is saying this because |
|
...it shows how weak their argument is as it relates to their "sanctity of life" justification on abortion....I mean if you have some in the Repuke/Pro-life side (ie Sen. Rick Santorum)arguing that life begins w/ conception and that abortion is murder (even if a fetus in the first 4 mos for example couldn't "survive" outside of the womb)then the argument that it's only "cells" and isn't a life unless its in the "womb" has a lot of holes in their basis of argument. I love the idea that stell stem research might be opened up, but my posting was more out of shock to hear Orrin Hatch saying this and the fact that it really shows the "role" of women ie. "incubators w/ wombs" vs "Thinking decision-making humans that should have reproductive choices about contaception, and whether, when, if and how we want to have a child"...
