Basic Knowledge or Trivia Pursuit Knowledge?
Edited on Thu Jun-10-04 08:50 AM by bpyatt
If anyone saw Larry King Live with GW Sr. He apparently didn't realize that there were other people on our money besides Presidents.

The question:

Is this basic knowledge or trivia?

My republican friend is trying to convince me this is something you would find in Trivia Pursuit, and I'm like yeah Trivia Pursuit: Bush edition...

I mean get real anyone not living under a rock and can think for half a second realizes that Franklin is on our money and wasn't a president. Maybe alittle bit harder to remember is Alexander Hamilton. But Geesh, Trivia?????

4. Who didn't know, Bush or Larry King?
I mean, it's not like either of them haven't seen a $100 bill.

6. It;'s basic knowledge
Currently, two currency notes have pictures of non-presidents. The $10 note has a former Secretary of Treasury and the $100 note has a former ambassador.

9. Republican ignorance
of American history and Constitutional law is staggering. I encounter it practically every day. That it reaches to the very highest levels of every branch of government is not surprising.

Let's face it, the RW encourages and rewards mediocrity.

10. Reminds me of a Howard Stern Schtick
He had some super models on and started asking them basic questions like, "Where is the equator?" and they would guess, "The moon?" Then he switched over to questions like, "Whose initials are CD?" and they would answer more confidently, "Christian Dior," etc. They knew the answers to questions like that, about champagne, etc. They also knew who was on the 100 dollar bill.

It's sad when our nation's super-models are smarter than at least two of our presidents.

11. I'd call it trivia
It's kind of amazing that he didn't know it; but, it really has nothing to do with your ability to handle different situations that come up. Poppy knew that if you overthrew Saddam, you had a mess on your hands. That knowledge is critical for a President. Knowing what you need to know to survive, to do your job, that's basic knowledge.
Junior lacks basic knowledge, it makes no difference to me whether or not he knows whose on the $10 bill.
