Change on Air America's website...Good or bad news?
Edited on Thu Jun-10-04 09:20 AM by Armstead
Air America has taken off their listing of affiliates from their website.

The banner at top now has a plug for their shop instead, and there were no listings I could find of where they can be heard.

Is this good news (preparing for bigger things), bad news or just some housecleaning?

1. AAR
I read an article about AAR where someone in charge said something like "we are close to a deal with a major company, but I'm not going to give any specifics because I don't want to Jinx it.

2. Maybe you're looking at a different link than I....

It looks the same as always to me:

http://www.airamericaradio.com/pub/globalDefault.htm

And this link from that page shows the stations:

3. Different top banner, and no prominent link to stations
The top banner is definetly different.

Maybe my eyes are going, but I can't find a link to a station listing on the front page.

Maybe your browser cached it from before. Visit again and refresh the page and see if it changes.

It's possible this is no big deal. I'm just wondering if it is a sign of something bigger.

4. The banner IS changed...
...but the "Find a Station" button is still on the top left of the page, under "Listen Live," "Download RealPlayer," and "Audio Archives."

5. Yes... mine was cached, but it's not that different...
and the 'Find a Station' link is in the same spot. They're probably just making the the "GEAR" link as prominent as possible, which is a good marketing ploy.
