Bush kissing up to the "cheese eating surrender monkey"
Edited on Thu Jun-10-04 09:27 AM by Atman
What are the freepers to do? How are the neocons spinning this? Suddenly, Bush is demonstrating Reaganesque pragmatism, not flip flops of desperation. The tightie righties were quick to demand we change the english language to show our disgust at the lilly livered (or is that patéed?) Frogs. Mom and Pop reprinted their diner menus to add little American flags and re-name the french toast and taters.

Now Bush is on teevee everywhere sucking up to Jacques Chirac and asking him to come help him out of the big massive mess he made, precisely the mistake Chirac warned him he would be making. And the GOP flip-flops right along with him, praising his fence-mending (I thought fence-mending was about foregiveness, not grovelling FOR forgiveness). They look more like a school of grunion than a political party!

I'd ask "have they no shame," but I know the answer already.

6. I so love to see Chirac towering (literally) over Bush*
(don't you know that just slays Bush* and his "minders" that those pics are out there? Chirac is not about to give Bush* any "freebies," either.... Chirac is going to extract a bit of revenge, methinks...

7. their silly little boycott backfired
Since this dumbass 'freedom fries' nonsense started, I began to Buy French whenever possible (Bunnypants *does* want us to shop, right?).

I've purchased some fabby pieces of Emile Henry bakeware, and I've been loading up on my favorite French foods at an eBay store that imports from Lyons. Herbes de Provence, tapenades, lavender honey in stoneware crocks...and I have the silly little freeper boycott to thank for this bounty.

Interestingly enough, the eBay French food store just received a "Best of Ebay Stores 2004" award. I guess the majority of Americans don't share in this jingoistic mindless French-bashing.

8. In all fairness, the boost to the economy...
...that the printing industry fueled in all the ''Freedom Fries and Frreedom Toast" menu changes, was a major bright spot of the Bush legacy.
