Fahrenheit 9/11 tickets available!
Just got an email containing the teaser poster for Fahrenheit 9/11 which will be in this Sunday's New York Times, and the movie's official one-sheet.

Also, tickets can now apparently be ordered from http://www.F911tix.com

seriously, I was off one digit on my zip and got Lubbock instead of my actual city and got a big big surprise.

I'll believe it when I see a newspaper listing---then immediately drive to see it. Seems that's the closest theatre in 250 miles (Texas is biiiiig)

Hey--Pasadena, too! Pasadena, refinery town, home of Gilley's....

Plus Lubbock, Laredo, all over the Metroplex....

& once the money starts rolling in, it will surely be at a theatre near you!

12. At least three to choose from near me!
Hmmm.. I notice that it is playing in some major theatres here! The biggies.. AMC, Regal, etc. That is so good. I hope the trailer that I saw on my Comcast homepage is the same one in movie theatres and on t.v. I think that it would entice even the most stalwart Bushies to see it.. The clip makes it so attractive and mysterious... I'm really hoping it IS released on DVD before the election, because I believe lots of people would rent it vs. see it in theatres for a variety of reasons.

I admit, I'm a little apprehensive about going to a theatre near here to see it.. It's a MAJOR military area, and I'm afraid there will some trouble. I'll wait a few days to see..

Those FReepers were more than willing to share their contact info for movie chains across America so we could call them up while PABAAH waged its censorship campaign to keep the 9/11 families from getting any more money.

As a result, F9/11 won't be shown in any small theaters in Dallas. We've got STADIUM SEATING, BABY! See you in the popcorn line!

... is good publicity. They might as well be protesting against "The Last Temptation of Christ".

They'll only show the theatre that there is an interest or buzz about the film. Let them call. It will only prompt the theatre to get the film in hoping that the same people will picket ;-) !!!!!

60. This is not a complete list
Theatre chains usually lose some money for offering advanced ticket sales because of the fees payed back to the distributors. So, it is not uncommon for them to only offer advanced ticket sales for blockbuster movies.

It's not a complete listing of the theatres the movie will be playing in, only a listing of the theatres offering advanced ticket sales.

The Denis is an old time (1930 Style) on the street front Theater. The easiest way to get there is to take US19 from Washington Pa. (There are quicker ways but that means taking back roads, the South Hills of Pittsburgh can confuse even the natives).

I am assuming you will be taking I-79 till it merges with I-70 as both roads swing around Washington Pa. After the two roads merge and just before i-79 swings North again, is the US 19 exit. Take US19 North. You will pass into Allegheny County go up and down some more hills and pass South Hills Village (If you know a quick way to South Hills Village I would recommend it over US19 but see my previous notes about getting lost).

Pass the Village, you pass another four lane highway and start to climb another hill. Once on top the trip will be flat (or as flat as you get in Western Pa). Stay on the Four Lane Highway. After about 1/2 mile on the top of the Hill 19 splits. "US19" turns down a two lane road to your left. "Truck 19" continues straight on the Four lane highway. STAY ON TRUCK 19 i.e STAY ON THE FOUR LANE HIGHWAY. About 1/2 mile onward you will enter the Mt Lebanon Business District. Washington School will be on your right the Post office on your left. Keep going (But you are close). The road dips and than raises at the next Red light. The Denis is after that Red light. It has a Green Canopy with the words "Denis" on the Canopy.

Parking can be a bitch. At that intersection you can turn left and park by the Mr Lebanon Stop of the Streetcar line (called the "T" By Port Authority Transit). If you see the dip and the theater while before you come to that intersection, at the previous intersection is a public parking lot (Follow the Signs). DO NOT PARK IN THE LOT ON YOUR RIGHT ON Truck 19 that is reserved for the Mt Lebanon Police who tend to get picky if you park there.

After the show you can eat at the Chinese restaurant in the block before the dip. A Nice restaurant after such a long trip.

If you perfer to take Public Transportation. The Denis is just around the Corner from the Mt Lebenon Stop on the 42S South Hills Via Beechview Street car line (Called the "T" by Port Authority Transit).

You can get on the "T" either at the South Hills Village Stop or Downtown Pittsburgh. Just get off the "T" at the Mt Lebenon Stop.
Word of Warning. Starting June 2 2004 they will be TWO Streetcar lines instead of just ONE. The Overbrook (Often call the "Valley") Line has been rebuilt (after being abandoned ten years ago when the lack of maintenance forced it to be closed).

42 Lines are lines that go through Mt Lebenon and Beechview, 47 Lines are lines that go through the Valley line bypassing Mt Lebenon and Beechview.

The Port Authority has said it will NOT run the 47S South Hills Village line till at least Janaury 2005. The Port Authority will run the 42S South Hills via Beechview line until that date (and will probally run some after that date but no firm decision has been made).

Port Authority has said it will be running the 42 South Hills via Beechview line till at least January 2005. Sometime after January the Port Authority plans to run the South Hills Streetcars via the Valley line instead of the Beechview line. This would mean that faster service for the people on the Valley line but it also means Mt Lebanon Stop will no longer be on the South Hills Village Route (Unless the Port Authority decides to run some 42S among the 47S Routes)

I am writing this is case you decide to take the Streetcar from South Hills Village to the Denis. You can do so today. Just park your car in the South Hills Village lot (they do not like you to do so, but they also do not want to chase aways potential customers) and take the Streetcar to the Mt Lebenon Stop climb the hill turn left on Truck 19 and the second or third business is the Denis.

Afterwards you can walk to the hill you climbed up and instead of going down the hill walk a block to a nice Chiness Restarant. Afterwards you can take the Streetcar gback to your car at South Hills Village.

The Streetcar comes often but if you want to see a Schedule see:

86. I was re-reading my Directions
Edited on Thu Jun-10-04 10:22 PM by happyslug
And I confused left and right. The Denis is on the right AS IS THE TURN TO THE PARKING LOT AND TO THE STREETCAR STATION.

The Police and Post office are on the LEFT.

Also if you take the Streetcar and climb the hill your turn RIGHT not left.

90. Directions Corrected for Left and right

It has a Green Canopy with the words "Denis" on the Canopy (It is on the RIGHT side of the Raod as you head NORTH).

Parking can be a bitch. At that intersection you can turn RIGHT and park by the MT Lebanon Stop of the Streetcar line (called the "T" By Port Authority Transit). If you see the dip and the theater while before you come to that intersection, at the previous intersection is a public parking lot (Follow the Signs). DO NOT PARK IN THE LOT ON YOUR LEFT ON Truck 19 that is reserved for the Mt Lebanon Police who tend to get picky if you park there.

You can get on the "T" either at the South Hills Village Stop or Downtown Pittsburgh. To get on the "T" at South Hills Village is to turn RIGHT onto the Access right Just before you see the Sign for South Hills Village. If you pass the access road before you see the sign (and you probally will) do not worry, just turn into the mall parking lot and Turn Right and go back to the Access road.

The Access Road curves around South Hills Village and as you apprach a Red Light, the South Hills Village Stop for the Streetcar will be on your Right. I advise you to tunr LEFT into the South Hills Village parking lot and walk across the Two lane road to the Stop (Construction of a Parking lot for Park and Riders is ongoing at the present time so the only parking avalaible is in the South Hills Village Parking Lot.

Just park your car in the South Hills Village lot (they do not like you to do so, but they also do not want to chase aways potential customers, an agreement has been made between the Streecar operators and South Hills Village based on the Park and Ride lot being built and scheduled for use in November 2004). You can than take the Streetcar to the Mt Lebenon Stop, get off at that Stop and climb the hill turn adn turn RIGHT on Truck 19 and the second or third business is the Denis.

Afterwards you can walk to the hill you climbed up and instead of going down the hill walk a block to a nice Chiness Restarant (Which is on your left as you clim that small grade). Afterwards you can take the Streetcar back to your car at South Hills Village.

The Streetcar comes often but if you want to see a Schedule see:

64. Nothing in the Carolinas???
How is this movie going to have an impact if its release is so limited?

I am really disappointed here, I hope this is just a partial list of theaters.

I want to watch this movie in my home town. I want to see a few flag-waving bushbots try to get in my face. I want to hear my neighbors react as the movie plays.

This is really bumming me out.

I used Charleston and Colubia zip codes, but got zilch.

Its at one theater in Columbia, at a major mall.

Its at a pretty obscure theater in Charleston. Darn it.

Its not playing at all in Greenville/Spartanburg.

I'm happy I can see it locally, tho.

Thanks for the help - :D

68. Two theatres in all of LA?
Uh, no way. This is a very sketchy list. More will be added quickly. The local media whores on KNX Radio (a CBS affiliate) were making stupid pronouncements the other day that there may not be theatres available for this movie because of all the summer "blockbusters" about to be released - the implication being that no one will want to see this. I have never before heard anyone make a claim that ludicrous. Within 10 miles of me are over 100 screens. I'm sure theatre owners can find the space if they are so inclined.
