5. Whoa...let's elect him to the Senate first. |
|
He's got a huge lead right now, I know. And believe me, I want this good, decent man representing us in the United States Senate.
But I won't rest until the day after the election. :-)

14. Come On Out To The Northwest & West Burbs! |
|
We're like Cicadda's out here...we've been lurking in the GOOP's backyard and ready to spring alive.
We can use the help in Congressional races (especially Melissa Bean) where it'd be nice to send a very strong message by sending one or several of the dinosaur Repugnicans (Hyde, Crain, Hastert <dream, dream> and Kirk) packing and help elect a Democrat majority. We've got some great people in our delegation already...Rahm Emanuel, Jan Schakowski, Jesse Jackson III...wouldn't it be great to see them in positions to make things happen????
Cheers and I'm proud to support Barak as well as our other great Senator, the next House Majority Leader!

Of course, by now I'm a regular Vendooza groupie and Mr Susang often acts as their roadie. It would be almost embarrassing if I gave a shit what anyone thought! :-)

12. I'll grant you--he's a great guy, but let's get him in the Senate first. |
|
After that, however, the sky is the limit! Imagine a ticket with Obama AND with Dick Durbin on it! Durbin has better name recognition right now--but once Obama get's to DC, that is gonna change! He's gonna rock!
I'm gonna LOVE the Illinois Senators twice as much once we elect Obama!!!!

15. Unless there's something we don't know about Obama... |
|
Like a previous divorce which he refuses to talk about...
Whoops! That's Jack Ryan, Obama's right wing Republican opponent! Silly me. I forgot about those Republicans and their nauseating hypocrisy on "family values"...
Anyway, unless the citizens of Illinois decide it's just a swell idea to elect yet ANOTHER boring, white male Republican with the last name of Ryan, Barack Obama will make a superb addition to the Senate. And you're oh so right, davsand. Dick Durbin and Barack Obama will be a powerhouse combo. :-)

16. He's going to charm the Washington folks so much |
|
that the Repugnants will beg him to join their party and the Democrats will know, he's the chosen one for 2012.
Barack Obama is the FIRST politician I ever met whom I felt I could give over my trust to 100%!

18. Walt, I felt the SAME way! |
|
It is impossible to explain the magic of Obama to folks who haven't met him, I swear! He's dead on in his positions, as far as I'm concerned, but it is WHO he is that makes me so excited about his candidacy. After I had the time with him to actually talk, I realized that he's one of those guys that is in politics for all the right reasons.
I'm jaded, and pretty hard core, but Obama made me feel like he was the FIRST candidate I've ever fully trusted and had no reservations about*. I have no doubt he's one of the best I'll ever meet.
Laura
*Except my own husband. He's running in a County level race right now, and I DO support and trust him fully! ;)
