7. I grew up in an Oligarchy...and America is looking more and more

like my place of birth, where the criminality is so high I cannot live there any more. But this was brought about by a process just like what we are going through now (except we could not launch wars on others, so we killed our own.)
People are not dumb. They find alternate sources of revenue. In the case of my country: drugs, kidnappings, thievery, guerrillas.
