prediction: manic Bush will try and co-opt "optimism" tomorrow,
in his Reagan eulogy.

My guess: the money changers in the court have advised him to take the opportunity and get some of that "optimistic for America" stuff out to counter his "you're all gonna die if you don't vote for me" stuff.

I could be wrong (duh)....but's it's re-election 24/7 with these guys.

5. his photo ops are disgusting
Edited on Thu Jun-10-04 07:23 PM by Marianne
may he be stricken with nightmares of Reagan coming out of the coffin and telling Bush he is a prick who is taking advantage of a defenseless dead guy.

The lump in the bed is really showing her age. All of those eye lifts and botox treatments seem to have worn off at an inopportune time. These photos catch her aging look, although it is quite a difference than in her previous photos. The botox is apparently at the end of it's effectiveness. She looks really , really like an aging, middle aged, post menopausal woman who has spent a lot of money trying not to look aging at all, but to look as if she were twenty, but that all of that money spent did not work.

This photo of them both taking advantage of a dead man to garner into their desperate campaign to re-elect evil--is so obviously disgusting and shallow. And there they are--the urban legend Christians--with the hand on the casket as if to say "HEAL" LOL

this disgusting play of a photo op, is really disgusting.

No one will really believe this crap looking, play acting, propaganda.

No one with any brain that is. Some will believe it and they are the pathetic sheep.

6. Here he is saying: Sh*t! This guy is making me try to read an eulogy
when I want to go on vacation."
I bet he had to go home and practice...and practice hiding the earpiece.
Or are they going to have teleprompters poking out of the casket?

12. Reagan should haunt Bush as a ghost.
Scare the living shit out of him. That shouldn't be too hard.

8. Bush Is Incapable Of Displaying Or Feeling The Higher Emotions
so any attempt he takes at appearing optimistic will no doubt seem at odds with the reality the majority of Americans are facing right now.

He'll probably seem manic like he did today.

9. That's how they're going to try and transfer the Reagan mojo...
... Bush is all of a sudden going to get all "optimistic." Problem is, he's spent the last 3 years trying to scare the hell out of people with a terrorist under every Iraq, and it's going to be real hard to be optimistice when that thousandth death takes place in Iraq.

10. Pinto, did you mean "manic" Bu$h?
Or did you mean maniac Bu$h? Either works, this week. Bu$h is definitely on the bi-polar upswing. But physics in a field of gravity (mental, moral, and physical) applies there more than psychiatry: What goes up, must come down.

15. Yeah, meant "manic". Worries me more, in the big picture, than any other
national "threat". He seems in charge now, then when he crashes Rummy, Cheney and company step back in. This cyclical threat/no threat, war/peace psycho drama is getting wearing.

11. LOL... I've been in DU for a couple hours now...
Some of the posts are hilarious, including these. Good job DUers!

If interested, check some of the already backlogged stuff from today. Some funny stuff every so often.

Having a laugh brightens a day like this with nothing but back to back Reagan-0-thon.

16. GOP: All campaign, all the time...
It's for certain that * will try to make the most of his free airtime, and will try to connect himself with the guy in the casket.

Come to think of it, he's got a connection with a lot of people in caskets over the past year -- he put most of them there!

17. I heard a rumor:
Now I don't know if there is any truth to this, but apparently he is going to be popping jelly beans in to his mouth the whole time he is giving the eulogy.

True? Hard to say. Just a rumor. That I heard. Somewhere.
