Woh Ronald Prescott Reagan just said. . .
(paraphrasing here). . ."after he was shot and my father was saved, my father saw it as what God wanted. (not paraphrasing here) He saw it as a responsibility, not as a mandate."

From Ron's mouth to *'s ears.

4. And he also said:
My father was a religious person, but never wore it on his sleeve, like so many politicians do, for political advantage.

WOW!!!

5. still, I'm surprised he could say his dad was religious
with a straight face. There was nothing Christian about Reagan's war on the poor, nothing at all.

6. Exactly!
Parts of his eulogy were direct and pointed slaps at BooBooBush. Good for Ron! I hope Rove and his numbnuts gang of thugs try and use Reagan as a political foil, Ron will come out swinging!

11. I've had the pleasure.....
of working at the same place Ron did for awhile and he is really a very nice, composed, thoughtful person. He never came on to anyone as Reagan's son, like Michael does, and I never heard anyone say an unkind word about Ron, nor did he say an unkind word about anyone else. He's someone to look up to and I just hope he gets his own show either on radio or tv. he's the real thing.

15. There are several reasons why the "Reagan-obsession" bothers me,...
,...by right, left, center and everything in between.

1) There are other human beings on this earth;

2) Without the rest of humanity, no one human being would be so great;

3) It's so feakin' excessive;

4) Other human beings have broken their backs to make a difference (they had no breaks, won no "popularity" contests, were never rewarded);

5) The value is focused upon "one" rather than "all";

6) The deaths of very many have served a few (and NO ONE is willing to swallow that,...yet);

7) Democracy has not yet been defined by "the people".
