Edited on Fri Jun-11-04 09:39 PM by Stephanie

I am very scared. I am frightened.

Did anyone hear that?

2. I did.
Along with the example of Ron and Nancy's marriage as being a sacremental union and the pastor's exhortation that the American dream works because he, an immigrant, had become a president's pastor. I believe his declaration was, "Only in America!"

Why is it still daylight there? Is this a repeat from earlier today? It says it's live coverage.

6. Well, that explains it.

I suppose I missed Whiste Ass's speech. Did anyone catch it?

They must be on the west coast. Larry King just said the Reagan's were headed back to Bel Air, about a one hour drive.

That's why I wondered about the daylight--east coast is an hour ahead of us and I thought they were still in D.C.

3. Oh, gee whiz!
In the rural south, where I was reared (a long time ago), the notion of a divorced man with a living ex-spouse being called a Christian or entering a church would have scandalized the good Baptists and Methodists. "Divorce" was a word whispered, never uttered loudly in polite society. Now here's St. Ronnie being eulogized by one and by all (even the Roman Catholics!) as a good Christian man - when he died in a state of unforgiven sin. How is such hypocrisy possible? Mind you, I don't believe any such thing, but these right-wing fanatic "Christians" supposedly do. A plague on all of them!

4. If there was any question about media consolidation,
every one should be convinced by now. All majors running the funeral?????They are losing megabucks, it's outrageous! Hell, one channel gets the world series, one gets the NBA and college finals, one gets the freaking olympics for Christs sake, but right now this in one ABC, CBS, NBC,CNN, MSNBC, FOX news and FOX entertainment channel, and C-span.

The mrfkr croaked days ago...THIS IS NOT NEWS...ARGGGGH!

okay, I feel better now. Probably the only one more disgusted with all of this than me is Nancy, she knows Reagie is being used, used, used. They'll probably pass a bill to exhume his corpse and dip him in gold once she croaks and isn't around to prevent it.

7. Nancy orchestrated the whole thing!
She loves being in the spotlight, obviously.

She coulda said no at any time. She coulda shoooed the cameras there at the end.

Now can we start disrespecting? Huh, can we? Is it ok now?
