Can't remember seeing a couple in politics that truly loved one another so much. Except, ironically, the Wellstones.

Let the woman grieve without it being a goddamn photo op for Christ's sake!

...not a big Reagan fan by any stretch of the imagination, but Jesus Christ the woman was trying to say a final goodbye to her husband and all I could hear was "clackety-clack" from those cameras over and over and over.

Ronald Reagan's chidren's tributes to their father touched me. Yes, I am a liberal democrat and didn't support Reagan when when we ran for office, but I was moved by Nancy's grace and his kids words today. It does make me less of a liberal. I didn't agree 100% with my own father's politcal views. But I'll be damned if I don't feel the pain that RR's family feels now.

I never liked Nancy as First Lady, but watching this, I feel really bad for her.

What's my problem? I was really sad for her. Just watched the end of the service in California. She was crying, and the family came to comfort her. I'm a Dem, and I don't care, I hope she finds comfort in her life. She's been through a lot. Take care Nancy.

Instead of dragging Reagan's body all over the country. This last part was quite nice.
Beautiful landscape. The setting sun. The children speaking and then rescuing Nancy when she began to fall apart.
I found this part quite moving.
The rest was......... well........

to not feel a little bit of sadness and sympathy for Nancy at this moment. Do you hear me, #11?
They were truly devoted soul mates, married for 52 years. To part after such a life together must be more unbearable grief than I can imagine.

but when a criminal (Ronald) and his accomplice (Nancy) are grieving I could care less. So many suffered in the early days of AIDS and Reagan did not give a shit so why should I give a damn if the Reagans are grieving......sorry but I am human....that is why I could care less for Nancy now....where was she in the 80s during the whole AIDS outbreak? sorry.....let them suffer!

I really don't think you can hold an 83 year old woman accountable for AIDS. Republicans may be cold, but they are still people.

ignored AIDS at the most important moment....Reagan said the gays deserved it....it's their disease....where were the Reagans for the American people then? no where....so the hell with them....let them burn! I spoke to a doctor at NIH about 7 years ago and he said that Reagan would not fund them with the money they needed to fight AIDS and it really set the fight against AIDS back many many years and he partly blames Reagan for not having a cure yet. Plus, it is not only AIDS but all those killed in Central America because of Reagan makes me sick....how can anyone feel sorry for the son of a bitch? Seriously?

and yes I feel sorry for Mr. Reagan and his family. There was a time when I hated Reagan. But love has so much more power than hate. I shocked myself when I broke down and cried tonight. It was felt good.
I hope that others can find that peace.

AIDS was only one of many crimes of the Reagans....but i also had a relative die of AIDS and after talking to many doctors in NIH, I learned how much Reagan hated gays and did not give a shit about AIDS and would go out of his way to underfund NIH and the CDC....i cannot forgive Reagan for this. And dont forget central america...so many people there are still suffering to this day because of Reagan...i could never cry for the Reagans.....

but I never thought I could cry over Reagan death and I did. I don't belive that people are evil when I see family members like his that are so much the same as us showing their love for him. I believe in an afterlife and whatever that may be, I know my brother is say to Ron "Gimme back the $100 I gave to you campaign". I would hope that Reagan understands now that he is in a better place than we are now. That's my faith and can't argue that and I respect you for yours as well.

|
Even as a movie star they seemed that way but it just fits with Hollywood so you are never sure it is real. I think it was and I think they were a pair that found their children did not fit in with how they felt about each other. You see people like that. It is like their children are third wheels.
