It's time for Ronald Prescott Reagan to seek political office.
Use the name for good, Ron. Make it work for true democratic values.

Senator Ronald Reagan?

3. I would almost prefer that he would run (R)
He would be a liberal repub that would steal a seat away from a hard line Repig. He would also have an opportunity to shift the party away from neoconservatism towards respectable conservatism.

5. Couldn't run as (R)... in his own words:
Reagan, who says the label "progressive" would fit him, does not belong to a political party. "I'm certainly not a Republican; I couldn't belong to any party that had leaders like Tom DeLay. And the Democrats are too busy trying to out-Republican the Republicans."

6. I could go for Veep.
I do think people have been reminded of a time before such extreme divisivness and cruel cheap-shot politics such as we've endured the last 12 years - and would like to believe that somehow we might find our better selves. I have not forgotten his father's Presidency.
I am only interested in ways we might save our country. And if Reagan's legacy becomes an contributor to that, so much the better.Just my thoughts.

9. Because he bashes Bush?
Because he made a nice eulogy for his dad?

He seems a decent enough person but clearly he's not interested, and I'm not interested in exploiting him for the coincidence of his birth.
