We're afraid to look forward to the future. Perhaps our leaders 'know' that the oil shortage is imminent 'sooner rather than later', but they 'don't want to tell the "children"'. They believe 'panic would ensue', rather than, people's best instincts would work together to bring us through this mess as well as possible (and granted it won't be easy)....but that IS what people would do (at least 'ordinary' people). (I guess the elites would try an 'buy' their way off of the sinking Titanic....but, dead men aren't in need of money, are they?)
