...My local paper published a LTTE stopping just short of forced sterilization of the poor. The ironic part is the writer included his e-mail and it appears to be a business address. You don't think that he is risking his job because he is writing and receiving personal e-mail on company time do you? In actuality I don't think he is risking his job because of the mindset in his community, does anyone remember the USA today article comparing Franklin, TN to a liberal community in New Jersey? However I bet if a liberal letter appeared that had a government e-mail address they would be up in arms over the lost production time. Anyway decide for yourself about the letter. But remember, prove yourself to be better than the Freepers. you will understand when you see the letter page.

1. Well, I don't believein using work-related email for frivilous reasons

I have sevceral email addresses for that. A work email account should be used for business purposes only, except for urgent needs.

That said, I don't feel it's right to go to the guy's boss. There was a controversy here about that yesterday. Let the guy wallow in his own self-misery.
