The Right-Wing "leg humping" of Ronald Reagan is Hilarious |
|
Edited on Sat Jun-12-04 02:13 PM by Homer12
This six day cable news Ronald Reagan TV marathon, with it's endless pandering to thr right makes me sick.
Not only that, but the Right's behavior tranformed from one of respect to "dog like leg humping" as they begin to symbolicaly pass the Torch to the Bush Gang.
It's pretty funny, I'm intersted to see how Karl Rove, GW, and the RNC will wrap Reagans corspe around GW in the campaign.
They have no shame nor diginity; once the Cable TV pandering ends (becuase everyone loves you when your dead), hopefully some critisizm will be vented at Reagan's record, of course this shouyld symbbolicaly transfer to GW since he is the heir to the Throne.
How funny.

1. I think it went overboard |
|
I understand why there was a need for some pomp and circumstance for a president's death, especially one that was as popular as Reagan was but this is ridiculous. A whole week??
The GOP's shameless exploitation of it should make even Reagan fans nauseous.

I think the network anchors will be embarrassed by what they did this week, they got carried away. Especially bad is the way they distorted the history, they could have honored Reagan without doing that.

"Necrophilia" would be a better word.

4. It's not over yet. Monday the shrine goes public. |
|
According to CNN the gravesite of RR will available for pilgrims to visit starting Monday. (I was going to say the grave would be open to the public, but opted against that wording as too ghoulish ;)) I imagine they'll broadcast live from tomb-side all day, and of course, Grave-Cam will no doubt be available on the web.
