The new torture pictures from
Abu Graib have really made me depressed today. It seems the stories, the memos, the pictures, even the depositions of the victims are printed in the news and nothing is being done about it. Ashcroft is being threatened with contempt of congress and the Generals are investigating themselves.
This should have already been given over to an independent committee to investigate, subpoena papers, ask hard questions all on national television every day until answers are found and people responsible are charged with the crimes that are so evident.
I fear that it will roll around in limbo indefinitely until the public moves on.

1. I haven't seen them yet. They aren't the ones that include children are
they? I saw a post that those were going to be released soon.

We have been gone most of the afternoon so I don't know what the pictures are. I am scared at the thought.:scared:

6. Horrible beyond words. I am so disgusted with the government I can't
put it into words. It's a combination of:

Dispair
Disbelief
Disgust
Anger
Sadness
Outrage
Nausea
Apathy

all rolled up into one ...

7. They can't call it abuse and
get away with it anymore. There are descriptive words for people who do things like that but I'm too much of a lady to repeat them.
