Not moran. There are no morans, but there are plenty of morons, and many of them are repukes. However, by virtue of being Texan, I have been called a moran more than once on this site. If you are going to call people names, spell the epithet correctly.

It is obvious that lots of young Americans are the victims of the Whole Language theory taught in many of our schools over the last 15 years or so. We must stop this downhill trend. We are starting to look like morons.

They are members of a warrior group of the Masai people of East Africa (particularly Kenya and Tanzania), which comprises the younger unmarried males.

And here I thought this is what the mullet-sporting gentleman in the picture was referring to all along. I thought maybe he was a football (soccer) fan and was rooting on the good ol' U.S. of A. during our world cup qualifying match against Kenya.

Or, perhaps, some Nascar racing team had reached out to the burgeoning crop of Nascar drivers in East Africa, the morans being some of the more aggressive drivers (the motto of the morans: "rubbin's racin'!)
