Major propaganda piece on Arnold.
Edited on Thu Aug-14-03 09:22 PM by Skwmom
People magazine - "What makes them run." Unsure of the link because it's on AOL's front page and I was unable to go directly to people mag to get the link.

Some excerpts:

"Now that he is running for office, the truth must be told: Arnold Schwarzenegger makes quilts. That's right, Mr. Tough Guy Terminator with hundreds of movie kills to his credit made a Mother's Day quilt for his wife, Maria, a few years ago."

"There you have it: the would-be governor of California is tough on fiscal issues, liberal on social issues and has a major soft spot for his wife"

""Arnold and Maria are a great love story. "

"Within hours of announcing his candidacy, Schwarzenegger, already the clear front-runner, had delivered a jolt of electricity to the race worthy of one of his big screen action heroes. "

"Schwarzenegger has also won the family's respect by providing so handsomely for his wife and the kids —Schwarzenegger has also won the family's respect by providing so handsomely for his wife and the kids .."

I normally consider a candidate’s private life off limits however, since Arnold seems to have a history of sexual harassment and his campaign is willing to put out such propaganda - well in my book - this makes anything fair game.

2. You know what, I am not a prude, but
if I were a parent, I wouldn't want a person hanging around my kids who had full frontal nude pictures and pictures with naked women making the rounds on the internet. It's not that I think he is going to do anything objectional to them, but if by chance they got to see them, it would take a lot of explaining and I really would rather not.

Okay flame me for being a prude.

5. Plus he's manly
As for Schwarzenegger's grooming routine, Segal only buffs his nails — no polish. "He is definitely manly about that," she says
