I keep hearing that there is a lot of evidence that Saddam and Iraq are being connected to Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden. Can anyone direct me to these so called facts? How does a person produce such document to prove this? Does Saddam sign a contract with Osama to have training camps?

Pre-invasion, our intel folks could make no case for such a connection. Post-invasion, Al Queda is said to be in the country, stirring the pot.

Some author is out with a book claiming there are all sorts of connections, but the intel doesn't back what he is claiming.

No facts, in fact the "facts" (according to the CIA itself, and even at one point Bush's own admission) is that there was NO linkage with Saddam and bin Laden.

There was talk (which I think may have been accurate) of an al Qaeda training camp in Kurdish-controlled area, but that definitely wasn't anything Saddam had any control over.

The reason I asked this is because I watching Bill O'Reilly and he inserted that there was evidence. I guess I should have made that clear. What I was wanting to know is what he is talking about and if anyone could point me in that direction. I've heard GWB say there was no connection as well as others. I simply wanted to know if anyone knew where Bill O'Reilly was getting these so-called facts that Al Qaeda and Iraq are connected. I realize that he is a propogandist but I would like to read the info for myself. I figured there would be published articles or something backing his point of view.

this could be the oct surprise. they went thru saddams things. supposedly i had first heard the first twin tower explosion was saddam, and then the blind shiek connected to obl. i have since heard little bits here adn there, that leads me to say...........

i dont point out so much that there is not a connection at alll. i dont think there is between 9/11 and saddam, but i wouldnt be surprised if after 9/11 closer to when u.s. was going to invade iraq saddam and his people might have made a connection or something.

i dont know. i just dont harp on that point with the right. there are a lot of other points for me to talk about bush needs to go. like executing after they invaded, creating the peace, they did a poor, incompentent job, just in case they pull that out i am not tied to that
