Question, how did the GOP Primaries work this year? |
I know that there were no serious challengers to Shrub, but did Republicans actually go out and vote for him on primary days knowing already that he would be the nominee? Is there some rule that the delegates go to the incumbent if not enough people vote?

3. So people actually bother to go out and vote for Bush in the primaries? |
I suppose it makes sense when there are primaries for other races on the same day, but if there aren't then I can't see many people bothering to come out to vote for the GOP primary.

6. In most places there were probably other races on the ballot... |
though my guess would be that turnout was generally low.

4. I only paid attention in NH |
Where John Kerry came in second, and most of the rest of the Democratic candidates received more votes than the rest of the Republican candidates.
