The fact that he is so closely linked to the right wing is absoluetly mind boggling. These guys run in the same circles. Poppy Bush often gives speeches for Moony events.

What is amazing is that the fundamentalist base would FREAK OUT if they knew the majority of right wingers were so closely allied to a Korean man who said he was Jesus Christ. Furthermore, he says that Jesus FAILED in his mission and that HE is her to finish the job!!!!

I know it's kinda low, but guilt by association DOES work. Republicans have NEVER been above it. In fact, they accused Clinton of cow-towing to the Scientologist (who are also evil freaks) because he was asking for freedom of religion in Germany (where Scientology was outlawed).

If the Moonies and Scientologists would kill each other off in a holy war, I think the world would be a LOT better off. In the meantime, we need to spread the word that the Reich wing is DEEPLY in bed with FREAKAZOID MOONEY!!!!!

If we can make this connection, we can break the spell that a lot of people are under. Those right wing southern preachers are ALL in bed with Moon. So are a LOT of black clergy including the Nation of Islam.

The pretext for the even was an awards ceremony for "Ambassadors of Peace". Basically, one of Moon's proxy organizations was giving awards to people from various states for public service. He managed to wrangle in a LOT of congressman and senators to the event because members in their district ... etc... were being honored.

Aparantly, the "crowning" was kinda an unadvertised event. Moon probably used this as a PR tape for propaganda in foreign countries so he could claim "government recognition" from the United States. In fact, it showed up in one of his PR reels.

I doubt that most of the lawmakers attending knew what was going to happen. And reports indicated that many headed straight for the door when the coronation began. The HUGE expection is Rep Danny Davis (D-IL) who actually brought Moon's crown to him with head bent low.

Most of the lawmakers who associate with Moon are VERY right wing. But they usually keep a low profile about it. They know full well that their fundie constituents would NOT approve of such close association with a man like Moon. But one of our own, Dummy Danny Davis (D-IL), is too stupid or bold to keep a low profile.

Basically, the Nation of Islam is closely allied with Moon and they aren't as bashful as Billy Graham about saying so. And Danny Davis is tight with Louis Farrahkan.

I said it before and I'll say it again. The Democrats need to lance Danny Davis like a gangrenous toe. Doing so will allow them to bring down a LOT of Republican congressman that take Moony money. It would also help to publicize the fact that Moon owns the Washington Times and fund MANY Right Wing fundamentalist organizations!!!!

In a way, I'm really not surprised. The Reich Wing fundies have become more cult like. And I'm CERTAIN that they are copying Rev Moons methodologies. He is VERY effective at mind control. And no doubt that the sans moral Republicans are more than happy to take advantage of such techniques!!!!!

They have to know that he owns the Washington Times. They also have to know about that paper's role in trashing Clinton. Obviously, they are willing to deal with the devil in order to achieve their goals.
