2. LOL good old Wink Martindale.
You know, Wayne Newton is a Bush supporter, too.

That makes me feel bad. :(

4. I hate the cult of celebrity in the U.S. and the U.K., but
if Wink is for chimpy, well, it's been a pleasure DU, but I've now got a higher calling.

Does it get any better than Tic Tac Dough? Bring on the dragon!!!!

6. Wink is doing porn nowadays
I just made that up, but I can't think of one other fucking thing this guy can be doing nowadays. I don't think he's had a game show in...what, 20 years? And it wasn't like he was a singer, dancer, or stage magician in his prime. No, this man, like the late Bert Convy, was one of those few individuals who was blessed with no discernible talent whatsoever.

Good to hear that he's still alive, though. I thought the motherfucker was dead.

8. How dare you, sir. How dare you.
No discernible talent? How about that voice?
How about pure charisma crafted by the hands of angels? History will look kindly upon Wink.

You, sir, are mad.

12. Indeed, Have You No Shame?!
"No discernable talent"???

To suggest that Wink Matindale -- WINK MARTINDALE, of all people - has no discernable talent is -- well, it's just downright mean.

But then to suggest that Bert Convey has no discernable talent whatsoever is beyond the pale!

Have you no shame, Sir??

17. If Wink Martindale has any discernible talent whatsoever...
then Paulie Shore is an entertainment God.

Same goes for Bert "Brillohead" Convy.

23. and your point is?
Convey was a legit B'way leading man LONG before 'stunt' casting of celebrities began.

26. No sale. Being on Broadway is ABSOLUTELY no guarantee of talent.
There is not one thing you can do or say to convince me that Convy had any talent other than being buddies with Burt Reynolds and Loni Anderson. Regardless of his Broadway experience, Convy made Ted McGinley look like Christopher Plummer.

29. fortunately for him
Hal Prince didn't share your 'opinion'

what he did after his B'way years was utter crap. but the man was in two of the most important musical productions in theatre history...

(good lord what am I doing spending time defending BERT CONVEY?)

embrace your derision. run with it. enjoy! i'm done here.

He's been a longtime supporter of the party...

Oddly, he's one of the few game show hosts that's not a puke.
