Way to go, OC . "Fahrenheit 9/11" will be showing almost everywhere |
|
The vast majority of major theaters in Orange County, CA will be showing "Fahrenheit 9/11" on June 25th. It will even be showing in the most conservative areas of the county. Let's make sure all of us, regardless of where we live, make it to the theater opening day and give it a record box office opening. BTW, Orange is the most conservative county in California. However, if you live in a county that isn't showing it, take a vacation to OC. We've got lots of beaches and sunshine and theaters showing our favorite movie.

16. Last week there were six or seven who listed that they were showing it |
|
Including Milwaukee, Madison and Green Bay. Have they decided not to show it now?

17. That's according to that f911tix web site. |
|
Call your local cinema and ask. To the best of my knowledge, the Oriental, the Rosebud, and assorted suburban Marcus theaters will be showing it in the Milwaukee area. And I gotta believe it will be in as many theaters in Madison and the Fox Valley.

in NM, 50 mi away is "nearby", so I wouldn't complain.
Surprised it's not in Santa Fe or Albuquerque, though

8. El Paso is a WHOLE lot closer than Albuquerque or Santa Fe |
|
There is a difference there of a couple of hours travel time. El Paso is about 45 minutes away from Las Cruces. Albuquerque is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours from Las Cruces.
Gloria...I hope you go see it in El Paso! Say 'howdy' to my old home town! But, I'm REALLY surprised that nobody in Cruces is showing this!

The only reason I would go to El Paso was because it was in between Las Cruces and Juarez!!
For this movie, however, I might have made a detour!

It's not playing in St. Paul, and only at one theater in Minneapolis proper.

4. Picket the theaters not showing it in your states. |
|
This weekend would be a good time to give them a taste of what they'll get if they don't show it. Make the signs about how unpatriotic they are to not show the picture and how they are hiding info from the people that could stop the next terrorist attack.

18. Naw, just politely ask them to show it. |
|
If they see how many people really want to see it, versus the small band of wingnuts against it, they'll show it.

5. I live in a very Liberal community... |

but my city is on the small side. I'm worried that the theaters will be so packed, I'll be lucky to get a seat before the film comes out on Video lol Wish me luck.

I work in OC and will go to the nearest theatre after work on Fri. (the 25th) I get off at 4. I'll try to buy my ticket in advance on Fandango to ensure I'll get a ticket. I'll go by myself on Friday since I'll go striaght after work and then I'm going to go with a friend on Sat. in Long Beach. I hope this thing just racks it in!!!

at a screening and it is wonderful; but I think most DUers probably know just about everything in this movie and it will certainly make you madder and madder at the chimp and his cohorts. (Get ready for the part with the solid Midwest, flag-waving, military mother who lost her son in Iraq, when she reads aloud his last letter home and when she goes to DC on a vist - it's absolutely heartbreaking stuff). But if we're lucky the movie will touch some on-the-fence folks who don't really pay that much attention to politics. Then it will have a real impact. Anyway, it's not to be missed, so make sure you go see it when it hits theaters on the 25th, and make sure you let theater owners know you appreciate their showing it, to counteract the skunks who are trying to organize boycotts.
