One of this morning's news stories is that the security chief for one of the State oil companys now operating in Iraq was killed during the night. This follows several days of successful attacks by Iraquis on the oil transportation infrastructure in the country.
Wait a moment. Iraq has no government, it is not a state in any real sense, so how can it have a 'state oil company'? It can't. The USA is the state of Iraq and if there is a state oil company it is an American oil company. By the way, 2 million barrels a day at $30 a barrel comes out to $60M a day, or just short of half a billion dollars a week. Where is the money going?

His wardrobe is in the shop to add extra pockets and to deepen the existing ones.

3. They aren't getting 2 million barrels a day... |

... that's fiction. Between problems with infrastructure and sabotage, it's about 40% of that figure.
And, still, even with the foreshortened production, it's still appropriate to ask where the money's going. It's a good question, one which no one has satisfactorily answered.
