I'm so Excited! I just got my RNC Membership card! |
|
That's right! (to coin a word). Yesterday it came. A credit card like appurtenance with an image of the American Flag, my name and member number embossed in gold and the stirring words "Victory 2004" in the upper left (strange, that) hand corner.
Maybe I'll go to Walmart and see if I can buy some jellybeans with it.
The card is attached to a piece of paper encouraging me to send some money "To help Victory 2004 spread our compassionate conservative message,...."
Should I send some?
Nah, I'll just tell them to go FUCK OFF!

...a letter from Bush with a picture of him and his wife. They seem to be pushing (Bushing?) Laura a lot. I tore it up and threw it in the garbage. My father gets Republican mail too, although he's voting for Kerry (which will be the first time he voted for the Democrats in decades). He lost money in the stock market and thinks Bush and Ken Lay and Enron are all crooks who helped steal his stock money.

4. Yeah I may have gotten the same picture |
|
if it had been printed on toilet paper I could have put it to good use, but since it wasn't, I dropped it in the recycle bin.

3. complain about the "compassionate" bullshit!! |
|
True Republicans are NOT compassionate! They're out for Number One!!!
You should write a letter complaining about the shift away from rugged individualism, that compassion is for wimpy liberals and communists, and that you'll quit the party if it doesn't drop the compassionate bullshit!

5. Amazing The Repugnican Lists We Get On Here... |
|
I guess we "fit the profile"...upper middle class suburban, white family with a house, kids and so on. Also we're active in civic activities...PTA, Girl Scouts, etc. One way or another my wife and I get a daily spamming of GOOP mail. Right now most are for the local candidates and an occasional one for our fossilized Congressman (Crane) and their game show host senate candidate (Jack "Smile Barak" Ryan).
The ones I love the most are the occasional RNC letters...always some urgent appeal that unless I run and cut a $50 check, the sky will fall and the liberals will over-run the planet. Two weeks ago, my wife got one that we couldn't resist having fun with.
Inside a large 8 x 11 envelope is a glossy pic of Pickles and the Boy Blunder with the inscription:
To: (my wife's name), Thank you for your early commitment and dedication as a Charter Member of the campaign in Illinois. Grassroot leaders like you are the key to building a winning team.
Best wishes, Laura Bush & Shitforbrains
OK...so I added the last part, but the rest is verbatim. We read it and laughed. Not a mention of the GOOP. We figured "hey, thanks for knowing how much we've already given to defeat your ass and that we still need to work harder"...we then went and wrote some more checks to several needy congressional campaigns (We support the Kos folks!)
Then, I placed the picture in my office...next to a little statue I have of a little boy who will "pee" a shot (a novelty I inherited)...I have him now turned with full aim on the royal couple within easy eyesight of anyone who walks in here. We thank the RNC for providing such great amusement and to keep those cards and letters coming.
Footnote: if I can find a place to post it, I'll gladly post this picture, it's a gem...and someone with Photoshop could have a field day with it. In fact, if someone wants to play around with it...PM me and I'll scan & email it. I'll also include a pic of it sitting in the office with the little statue peeing on it!
Cheers!

6. Don't you have to sign it in your own blood and have Satan witness it? |
|
That's what I thought you had to do when you sold your soul to the devil.
Just kidding.

8. It's a shame they didn't send you two cards. |
|
Then you would have one to shit on and one to cover it up with.
