CNN Poll-- Did Al-Qaeda and Iraq cooperate on 9/11? |
|
Shockingly, 30% still believe they did, even with the headline on the front page saying otherwise. I guess thats the same 30% who would believe the sky was green if * said it was.

is "one who bristles with aggressive stupidity" I think this just about sums up the neo-cons and the rush heads. At a Democratic dinner recently, I challenged the speaker (from off the record show) with this fact. His opinion was that the media was at least fair if not critical of duh'bya. He responded that obviously I was "either stupid or way out in left field somewhere to suggest that many people believed that Iraq was involved with 9/11".
This propaganda seems to be coming directly from dick cheney's office. From there it gets into the christian news radio broadcasts, and to the intellectually challenged listeners of conservative talk radio. Country music has a big role in spreading this myth as well. Several of their new "patriotic" hits are deliberately misleading. How does one safely challenge such a violent and self-righteous group as this?
at last glance though, i do believe that your statement is correct and all that needs said. "Duh'bya, hero of the (aggressively) stupid"

since the same CNN site had a (paraphrased) 'do you think the war is over in Afghanistan' question that resulted in a y/n ration of 15/85.
