1. "I thought I saw Lauren Bacall...
...in a car jamb."

Any actress The Clash sang about it OK by me.

2. 'you know how to whistle, don't you?'
every time i see her on screen i want to run off with her.
even now.
i explained to my wife that if she turned up at the front door and asked me to run off, I'd just have to go.
she said OK.
she gets the same deal for a couple of guys, too.
William Hurt and Liam Neeson, for example.
But Bacall....she's the coolest.

9. She May Be An Outspoken Democrat. But Class Doesn't Fit.
she treats the "little" people like dirt.

I know from first hand experience.

11. Good news and bad news
I saw a news clip of her from the F911 preview. She was raving about the movie, saying how proud she was to be a liberal and anti-Bush. That's the good news.

But I agree 100%: It's VERY low-class to treat wait staff poorly.
