Has anyone ever heard of the 100th Monkey? |
|
It is an interesting study in behavior. And it is a good thing to know, for those of us who want to change our world for the better. It is an empowering study. Here it is: http://www.heartlandsangha.org/100thmonkey.html

when I saw the original story about this colony of monkeys on PBS, one female learned how to wash her food. She taught it to her children, who taught it to theirs. It went down through the maternal line. Males didn't learn from their mates or their offspring, nor did other adult females learn it from their contemporaries.
There's a big lesson there, too, but not the nice one the Buddhist site was giving us.
