And relaxed. Why shouldn't he, too. For all his warts and faults, he sure has been redeemed by the antics of these evil clowns of maladministration.

4. I'm not fond of that photo of him - looks too much like Carter in it |
|
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 09:38 PM by Tinoire
but damn, you are so right. Clinton is an extremely handsome and attractive man- that photo just doesn't do him justice.
I'm watching him on 60 minutes now with effing tears in my eyes despite WTO, NAFTA, GATT and Yugoslavia. Damn. What a man.
He's talking about the meeting between Arafat and Rabin right now. What a man to have thought about how to diplomatically avoid that kiss and take the two men to the peace table. This brings such a lump to my throat when I see where we are now.

18. I still love the Big Dog |
|
He'll be in the area June 30th for two different book signings. I may have to sleep outside in the Costco parking lot, but I would so like to shake his hand and thank him for all he did for my husband and I, and millions of other first-time homeowners, while he was in office.
When Bill Clinton took office, after 12 horrific years of Reagan/Bush "trickle down economics," I exhaled, to use a cliche.
Love him.

20. I'm going to his book signing on Saturday morning in L.A., and |
|
I too will be sleeping in my car but it'll be worth any discomfort. I also broke down and cried during this interview. Here's a guy that came from nothing and through his own determination, incredible intelligence, charm, and resilance, became the greatest president in my lifetime anyway (I've lived through 10). I thought the interview was wonderful and meeting him on Saturday will be, without question, the greatest highlight in the political arena of my life.:-)

22. Still a hottie after all these years... sigh! |
|
I just realized what the problem is: the republi-CONS are jealous. Anybody you know getting hot and bothered by looking at tom delay? Or orrin hatch? How 'bout limbaugh? hannity? dick cheney! putz41 or putz43? Anybody? frist? HEY! How 'bout that ted olson guy? Or ashcroft? Or bill bennett? HEY! rummy! Or wolfowitz! Or kkkarl rove!!!! They're probably, deep down, annoyed that he can still get enjoy women, and they can't. Without help, that is. I recall hearing a report that Viagra is one of the biggest sponsors of the limbaugh show. And Bob Dole is their commercial spokesman. The men of the Democratic party don't need Viagra.

32. You've noticed it too, huh? I think that's why they're such |
|
sex obsessed money grubbers--for them the power of money alone has to substitute for the far greater power of physical beauty + brains + charm.
IMO that's why they've made such an icon of Reagan, and are trying to do the same with *. Both were/are attractive physically, at least in their respective youths, and both were/are noted for their personal charm.
Reagan's charm was obvious, but I have to take Molly Ivins' word for Dubya's. IIRC she's known him since high school at least, and admits that it's hard to dislike him personally, however godawful one might find his policies.
In any case, I have such a visceral loathing for that hateful little cipher that I can scarcely bear to watch him, and when I do I usually wind up in tears that this...thing should be representing us to the world.
Anyway, we'll give 'em Reagan and *, plus McCain, John Lindsay, and Chuck Percy--although the latter two were so liberal they would have been Democrats today.
And here's our list, in no particular order and off the top of my head, of Dems past and present who in another life coulda been movie stars:
JFK RFK JFK Jr. Big Dog Wes Clark John Edwards Al Gore Harold Ford Mark Warner Gary Hart Barack Obama ....?

Clinton doesn't need to explain anything. The proof is in the pudding: 3+ years later and we are in a deep, dark abyss... I hope he follows Gore's example and will begin to speak out.
Bill, I hope you are just waiting for the Bush&Co achilles heel to reveal itself.

I think he looks better now then when he was in office. Much better than when he was running the first time. He looked like a televangelist to me then. However, John Kerry is going to look every bit as presidential.
