What inspires you to do whatever you do,...
,...fight for whatever you fight for,...survive this life, no matter what?

I have two inspirations: my one and only son; and my firm belief in human potential.

1. I think what inspires me.....
....is the belief that most people are basicly GOOD....you just have to beat it out of them sometimes....

4. Walking in the light
to make a difference somewhere, or somehow in even one persons life, to help them to live up to their FULL human potential and overcome the human "condition".

Of course, I think it would go without saying but, my husband & children (ohana). But, you don't know me so I do have to say so eh?? :) Just funning a little bit....sometimes we need that (fun)

5. My thing is similar to yours JM....
I keep on, keeping on for my children and grandchildren. I want a better world for them.

I'm a wee bit anti establisment in some areas. I fight the status quo at every opportunity because I have experienced how awful it is to be on the bottom and how nearly impossible it is to get off the bottom because of the standards and practices we have in place today. I see the bias towards the poorer in our society. I have felt the disdain and disregard because of my "class status"...no other reason than that, mind you. I watch as the upper classes and the government continues in it's corruption unabated while "we" (especially the under class) are expected to "behave ourselves". It stings sharply.
And just because a person is poor does not mean they are stupid or blind; the opposite is more likely true...they see much more clearly the hypocracy at the top.

I guess I have a highly developed sense of right and wrong, of fairness and real morality.

6. I didn't ask to be born.
Especially here at this time.

Or, if I did, I have no memory of it. If I could have it my way, I would not be alive in this time -- what I believe to be a viciously DARK AGE made all the more so because most people alive don't see it. I do. I don't call myself "beam me up" for nothing. I am quite ready to leave this planet/plane ASAP.

That said, the fact is, whether I like it or not, I AM HERE. Being here I can not help but feel that I am here for some 'reason' and that 'reason' isn't about ME, particularly. My life is my life but, ultimately, living isn't about ME; it is about something else.

What? Is it about trying in the face of overwhelming adversity to retain some VIRTUE? Not virtue on a high-horse; simply the quiet recognition that ultimately WE humanbeings are the means THROUGH WHICH forces of a higher order can come into existence on this planet/plane. Obviously, it can work the other way around, too. As much as I may wish Peace, Love, Honor, Integrity, Truthfulness, Justice, and Compassion to come into the world through 'me,' I must also acknowledge that it seldom does. In their stead comes conflict, outrage, fear, decept, ignorance and selfishness. This, apparently, is the human condition. Through us come whatever we allow. To allow for something more than our own self-interest we need to be aware of what DOES come through us -- and then work, or pray, or open.

All this interests me enough to hang around and keep on keeping on.

7. Because the point is to live.
Thank you, Albert.

Read the Myth of Sisyphus and be happy despite absurdity.

8. I often get good feedback for what I do
For instance, I researched restoration of voting rights for felons in my state and made a handout on it, and passed it out to all people doing voter registration that I knew. One of these people said that a woman burst into tears of happiness to find that she could one day vote again.

9. We're all here for a purpose...
and that is the quest from the beginning. some people never recognize or question the reason for their existence, they just exist until they die. Those people never realized there was a question to their existence, so to them, they've missed nothing.

The main thing is to never give up until you realize what you are here for. Be aware and keep searching until you know.
