Wasn't me, though I joked that I was either going to take them out or make some big "I'm for war pig" stickers to put on the signs.

One got bent up pretty good but the guy just set it back up. Looks kind of funny now. The other had two signs in the yard down by the sidwalk. I drove by yesterday and only one was there and it was banged up too.

Anybody who knows anything about Plano knows it can be a scary place. Lots of poorly informed (stupid) right wing Christian conservative types. Our US Rep is Sam Johnson and he is a disgrace. Being a Vietnam POW is no excuse.

We Dems have to have a thick skin to live here. Gonna be great at F 911 Friday night.

3. Parker & Custer area for me
Yeah, I feel kind of isolated too. I'd rather not live here but the schools, in general, are good, lots of stuff for the kids to do, that kind of stuff. I just don't talk about politics with people around here.

6. txprog you need to come hang out with us...
next time all we brave DFWers meet for dinner and drinks.

We had SUCH a blast last time! We need more of you there to increase our numbers and grass roots support!

Here's the thread with piccies. Yard signs will mean nothing in the grand scheme of things with buds like these guys on your side! :-)

7. Thanks, I wanted to come but...
sometimes chasing five kids around doesn't leave much time to do other things. I will hope to make it next time.

2. We used to drop friends off in Plano
and make them find their way back to Richardson.
Granted this was cruel. Was Richardson much better?

Sorry about the signs. Hope the get better soon.

4. Look-
There will always be idiots in the world. They may as well be clearly labeled.

No one should never destroy a person's Bush sign. It's like taking the label off a box rat poison.

8. Seems to me
Seems to me it's more like putting a warning label on a box of rat poison.

Tom Delay's opinion is moot.

10. Oh God I feel sorry for you
I used to live in Plano. I now live in a more blue-collar, working-class, Dem burb of Dallas which will remain unnamed (think southwest corner).

It's MUCHO better. One couple we know put a HUGE bush/cheney sign in their yard and it suddenly disappeared two days later. I haven't asked them about it, so I don't know if they took it down or it was stolen, or vandalized or what.

Hee hee. Beyond that, I've not seen a single bush yard sign in this burb. And only a few bush bumperstickers in this area and Dallas. You'd think you'd see more, but I guess not. I have TX Dem sticker and a sticker about regime change, LOL!
