A person recently sent a letter to the editor of my local paper (The Cincinnati Enquirer) saying there is proof that Saddam supported Al Quaeda because Iraqis have given money to the Palestinian suicide bombers.

This is the kind of dumb-ass thinking we Dems and liberals will have to contend with this election. How do we overcome the willful ignorance of people like that?

1. You'll never get through to that kind of imbecile

Our bigger problem is how to get through to those planning to help Bush by voting for Nader.

2. I wrote a letter to my local paper that said

we have proof that Saddam had WMDs, because the receipts are in the Reagan Presidential Library. They didn't print it.

3. Ask them who funded the Saudis who attacked us on 9/11

See if they can answer that.

Ask them why we didn't invade Saudi Arabia, or Pakistan, who had clear ties to the terrorists, but instead attacked a country which had no ties, or ties as tenuous as a few people donating money.

Meanwhile, there were close Bush cronies giving money to the actual terrorists who attacked us (knowingly or NOT). Refer them to Greg Palast for the details, which I'm sure are also in Mike Moore's upcoming movie.
