Question about George Soros and pac's
Hi - I am curious as to how much and how Soros's funds are being used in the presidential campaign. I understand bush raised 200 million but that appears to be nothing compared to what some of moveon.org's sponsors (such as soros) are prepared to donate to the cause. im really curious as i am not familiar with the laws surrounding pac's and how their funds can be used (well i know that they really cannnot use them directly, but how much indirect support they can give is what i am asking)

thanks -

1. So how often do you repeat Repuke propoganda?

SO let's see - You don't know how much money Soros is giving out, but you do KNOW that it's more than what Bush* has raised. Care to share with us where you learned that Soros is going to give more than $200 million, or would you rather not say?

Nope, nothing fishy here

3. ummm drop the ultra defensive attitude there buddy
unlike some of you on du i actually read other sources outside of this forum, michaelmoore.com, and truthout.org. and if soros is worth 15 billion dollars reportedly, and ive heard from various BIPARTISAN SOURCES that he is commited to around the same amount as bush (but i wasnt sure which is why i said bush's amount APPEARS to be nothing compared to soros).

besides i posted the message because i was looking for answers not to give you something to whine about. and if i was some repuke do you think i would donate to du?

4. You might
"and if i was some repuke do you think i would donate to du?"

For all we know, it's a new way of freepers to infiltrate DU.

You can get a star for donating anything, including just a few bucks.

9. indeed. and how does that reflect on Soros?
If Soros was a repuke, would he donate to Democrats?
There is this image of Soros being a good (rich) guy. Yet he is one of the partners of the Carlyle Group.

Con-artistry is the main trait of the neocon/fascist types; gain peoples confidence, gain their trust, not by making yourself out to be a bad guy, but rather by making yourself out to be a good guy. Then abuse that confidence to your own advantage, to the disadvantage of those whose trust you have gained.
We do know there are small-time con-artists, some get caught every now and again. Could it be that some are clever and influential enough to avoid getting caught? One can only wonder what kind of scemes they are involved in.

5. Soros' commitment
Soros has only committed to $10 million.

I'd like to know where you got the idea he has committed to $200 million.
