Some Jeffersonian Gems...
"A little rebellion now and then is a good thing."

"Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God."

"Never spend money before you have it."

"The tax which will be paid for education is not more than the thousandth part of what will be paid to kings, priests and nobles who will rise up if we leave the people to ignorance."

"To the press alone, chequered as it is with abuses, the world is indebted for all the triumphs which have been gained by reason and humanity over error and oppression."

Did old Tom have a Nostradamus streak in him? He seems to have foreseen * and his RW radio and TV henchmen, not to mention the No Child Left Behind BS.

2. JEFFERSON:
"I repeat, that I do not charge the judges with wilful and ill intentioned error; but honest error must be arrested where it's toleration leads to public ruin. As, for the safety of society, we commit honest maniacs to Bedlam, so judges should be withdrawn from their bench, whose erroneous biases are leading us to dissolution. It may indeed injure them in fame or in fortune; but it saves the republic, which is the first and supreme law."

This guy is AWESOME. Someone needs to read this to the Supreme Court, and then say "dismissed".

3. I am not
telling that police officer, only interested in me because I'm exercising my right to protest, my name. I have a right not to have my name taken down in suspicion just for exercising my rights as a human being, as recognized by the original consitution of the United States of America, my country.
