Green Party watch.....Greens to choose between Nader and Cobb.

The convention in Milwaukee continues. They are going to decide between Ralph Nader and Texas attorney David Cobb.

I really do not think many of the my Green friends are seriously considering voting like I will; strategically. When I mean strategically, I mean voting for Kerry. I think Nader should just stop what he is doing. I have just gotten to know David Cobb by reading about him and viewing his website. He has some great ideas and he would make a great challenger to Bush but I do think the Greens should be running anybody, hold their nose and vote for Kerry. I even think that when Kerry wins the election, the Greens should meet with Kerry and Kerry should adapt some Green Party policies.

you've been staring at the screen too long.

And let Nader exercise his rights. Someone should be antiwar, don't you think, since America is presumably antiwar? I think so. Nader's nomination should force Kerry into calling for the withdrawal from Iraq, among other things. The richest Senator in history needs to start pretending to represent us if he wished to represent us.

3. Kerry should do no such thing...

as a result of ANY action Nader takes. Nader can't "force" Kerry to change his stance on a single issue, nor should Kerry let him.

You trail off with "among other things" and don't even mention what other things, and these are supposed to be demands sufficient to end a Nader candidacy?

Face it, these voters will in large part keep finding little reasons to mutiny; they're only worth pursuing so far.

Plus it's an irresponsible position to just pull out of Iraq. Iraqis who helped us'll get burned to a crisp. Kerry said we'll be out by four years.
