Anyone else have a bad feeling about June 30th?
I just think either something really bad is going to happen on June 30th. Or after June 30th some sort of conflict between the Iraqi "government" and the US will happen.

Just think how much Bush and Co. have fucked up over there, this hand over is going to be a clusterfuck. :scared:

3. don't know abt the US and the iraqi interim govt...
... but the insurgents have really stepped it up this morning:

"Insurgents launched coordinated attacks Thursday against police and government buildings across Sunni Muslim areas of Iraq, killing dozens of Iraqis and three U.S. soldiers, U.S. and Iraqi officials said.

The huge number of attacks could signal the beginning of a push by insurgents to torpedo next week's transfer of sovereignty from the U.S.-led occupation authority to an interim Iraqi government."

4. Was this originally timed for 30 June?
Or was this an attempt to synchronize all "Independence Days" throughout the Empire? :silly:

5. July 1 isn't going to be a picnic either
I'm betting that the next five months in general are going to suck. With the presidential campaign leaning, in great part, on the situation in the Middle East, who can tell what's going to happen?

6. Worry about July 1st ???
That is qualifying day for the Pepsi 400.

Tony#20 is going to drive in the road race that night.

My only worry is getting from Hooters to the hotel after the races.

7. More than anything else this Bush and Co get into?
Lets Put it this way, I am glad, even if I am not for one party rule, that we had 40 years of Congress in the Dem hands. If we had left it to Rep. or the type we have now, we would be back in Hoovers days.

13. I worry about every day...
I get up at about 4:15 AM EDT, my wife of course is asleep, I sidle into the study and the computer and first look at DEBKA.com to see what blew up since 10 PM and then DU to see what everyone has to say about it. CNN, FYI, usually runs about 15 min to 45 min behind Debka.

Every AM almost without fail, something horrible happens.
