Package Bomb Explodes Next to Bush's Hotel in Turkey

A suspicious package left about 30 meters (98 feet) from the entrance of the hotel in Ankara where U.S. President George W. Bush will be staying during a visit to Turkey this weekend exploded, injuring two police officers.

Turkey has spent $37 million to prop up security in Istanbul during the NATO summit and to spruce up the surroundings. It has assigned 24,000 police officers to protect world leaders attending the summit.

More than 13,000 officers are scheduled to protect Bush in Ankara during his visit, CNN Turk said.

1. I doubt it will cost them a thing. No one ever does

anything for the United States unless we pay them to do it. I guess with that many soldiers protecting Bush in that Hotel, they will stand maybe 2 feet apart in 3 rows around the hotel, leading into the hotel, and on Bush's floor.

I guess that is the only way Dubya would go there if he was promised 10's of thousands of military guards. Wonder who they had to quit guarding to start guarding Bush?

I know they have probably never thought of this, but it's possible. Some Arabs could hijack a plane and actually fly it into the hotel. I know this sounds far fetch and all, even Condaleza said they could never imagine such a thing happening, but we know now it's possible. Afterall, they were able to get to thousands of innocent Americans who "supposedly" had the Worlds strongest, well-trained military protecting them and their country from attacks. You think they might try that evil plan against the POTUS? (sarcasm)
