Tonights Network news is gonna suck for Bush |
|
Edited on Thu Jun-24-04 04:05 PM by patcox2
This will be one of his worst days ever. The only issue is which story will be the lead, the questioning by the prosecutor in the Plame case, or the fact that Iraq is erupting in flames with 100 dead today. Then there will be a story about Cheney's sort-of victory in the Supreme Court, which will be nothing but damaging because it will just remind people of the secrecy and the Enron and Haliburton connections.
And on top of that, the opening of Farenheit 9/11 and the right wing's efforts to censor it.
Then there will be the bad economic news (durable goods orders down, unemployment up).
This is the kind of news day where there may even be a meta-story, a news story about how all the news stories are bad. And thats the kinda coverage that creates a snowball, the majority of the public don't really listen to the details, all they will know is that Bush is in a world of shit and therefore must be a loser.
And the network news is what counts, each network still gets more viewers than all cable combined.

1. Don't forget Cheney using the F word to Leahy! |
|
I wonder how the religious base will feel about that.
I have this sneaking suspicion that Cheney will be dumped.

16. Today on the senate floor |
|
Cheney approached Leahy to tell him he didn't like the Halliburton investigation and Leahy responded something about Cheney calling him a bad Catholic and Cheney responded either "Fuck off" or "Go Fuck yourself".
Either way, he used the Fuck word on the senate floor.

25. Dickless Cheney must be getting desperate |
|
Those who are confident and in control have no need to swear.
They merely smirk and slap their victims on the back.
I think this outburst is a very very good sign.

24. Yes -- a movie theater! |
|
Brilliant -- plus, it will have F 9-11 on the marquee.
Then, it will turn out it wasn't Islamic terrorists after all -- the CIA will report it was Michael himself, trying to create publicity.
Yeah, uh huh, just like Judi Bari bombed herself nearly to smithereens to gain publicity for her environmental cause.
(See, you got me going. Plots upon plots already.)
On the Laci Peterson thing -- could we at least get some bipartisan legislation to stop every scrap of pandering/reporting on that, until the end of time? WHO THE F--- CARES?

I also just read more about the cover-up of the death of an Iraqi in Abu Graib (I think) - stating that the commanding officer was there at the time and said he wasn't going to take the fall alone.
Well, and the bomb outside the Turkey hotel where is was going to stay this weekend.

Ted Olsen resigning,
And Wolfowitz and the Pentagon apologizing to the media for his House Armed Services Committee comments -- He said that the media was too afraid to report in Iraq - and were acting badly. He blamed the bad news on the media. Fortunately, Christiane Amanpour of CNN blasted him for it.
and of course the lead story - Cheney telling Leahy to go "F" yourself. That will be told.
Yeah, pretty bad -- but at least the weather report looks sunny.

You see all these great speakers and then "La la land Bush" with rosy music! They are seriously fucked up (pardon the language).
OK, now explain people contacting CNN. Do they want them to report on that ad? Is is republicans who want air time for the ad or democrats who are complaining?
The ad makes the chimp look like he is living in a parallel universe.

Edited on Thu Jun-24-04 04:35 PM by tandot
Some DUers think that this ad looks like a pro-Kerry ad: "if you don't vote for Kerry, people like Bush (Hitler) will get elected"
A lot of people don't know about the Moveon.org ad (which was never used) comparing Bush to Hitler. This is what the Bush team is using.
I don't think moderate Republicans will like another one of those extremely negative attack ad, especially one that uses Hitler.
This ad is way out there.

rid of this administration is to vote them out in November. They have been the root of many crimes and their Republican buddies are aiders and abettors. I can't believe the constituents of the Republicans are satisfied with their stance. They work for the pResident--not the citizens. Let us hope they will not be allowed to return when elections arise. Novack should stand in the docket for his role in the Plamegate affair. I despise that man. No, he is not a man. I have mistaken his appearance with that of a human being. So I retract my statement of "man."
