Dan Rather has still got balls!
As he signed off tonight, he said he was leaving for Iraq. The old guy is still a REAL journalist. Rather is at his best when he is reporting, always has been.

2. Rather has been my hero for years
A classic Rather moment was the evening he had it out with then President Bush I (daddy to president bush II), live and in color on the CBS Evening News.

6. Wolfowitz will then accuse him of holing up in a Baghdad hotel...

... because he's "afraid," so instead, he'll just report "rumors."

I really enjoyed listening to Christiane Amanpour lay into Wolfowitz this afternoon. Dan Rather again proves Wolfowitz wrong, by traveling to Iraq. Isn't Peter Jennings there right now, too?

9. Hmm. I can see Wolfie getting his revenge upon Christiane
(one of the best journalists out there) by referring to her Iranian roots, and insinuating some kind of unorthodox sympathies on her part. The man is a total hose.

10. No kidding!
I've got real respect for him.

When those of his age die, it'll just be blow-dried talking heads who have no idea of the substance they are reading, and mispronounce half the words anyway.
