1). To: Snardius
Cheney use the phrase, "...and the horse you rode in on -yahoo! Go Dick GO, punch his lights out next time.

2). To: I_killed_kenny
Yes, I heard it as well on CNN. To Vice President Cheney who is normally a gentleman Thank you Sir. I could think of a few others in the senate that should be told the same and the horse they rode in on....

3). To: nuconvert
"Would you describe the circumstanses a bit more....who, what, when, where, why?" Who - The toughest smartest Vice President Ever. What - A slimy secret revealing whining lying democrap. When - Not soon enough. Where - Our Senate. Why - Because it felt good.

4). To: ChuckShick
"The F-word? Feinstein?" LOL! Leahy deserves it, of course; all the demrats do. These people are determined to make even healthy people generate a heart attack. Should/when the 'next terrorist attack' occur; these Dems will be screaming - 'what were the Repubs doing all this time?' Our leaders were wasting valuable time on having to come up with new responses every day to the attacks by our Democrat enemies here at home. The Demrats again; will be key to a disaster; and then, swear, only they can be a solution. We have better things to do; but for sure; the Dems will try their damndest to make sure that our national security priorities are not addressed.

1. I volunteer...
To help Sen. Leahy with developing colorful retorts, in kind, for this sort of thing. 27 years of being a Road Dog has given me a unique perspective on stringing invective together in new, colorful and creative ways that are guaranteed to erase any and all ambiguity about what the speaker means and where the speakee can store his opinions and faults, in perpetuity. I promise that Sen. Leahy will no longer be hamstrung by Senate Collegiality and Comity. In fact, I predict that he will be able to make wallpaper peel off of walls and go running and screaming into the night, which may offer him new career opportunities.

In fact, I am so good at it that I should charge consultant's rates.

;-)

2. The toughest smartest Vice President Ever. . .
says Williams to nuconvert.

Yo, Williams: Teddy Roosevelt was a Vice President. And so was Thomas Jefferson. That's just for starters, to prove your assertion ridiculous right from the start.

12. What world dothese people inhabit?
Toughest? So tough he sought 5 deferments from going to "Nam.
Smartest? Didn't he drop out of Yale because of grades? His Monsanto acquisition for Halliburton looks pretty dumb.

Most corrupt? Sure.
Biggest war profiteer? Most definitely.
Most treasonous? Booked $24MM of business with Iraq in 1998...putting $ above US interests during the US embargos.

Least principled/most principaled.

He's a slimy, opportunistic money grubber that has profited obscenely by trading on his government insider contacts.

But, hey, if you admire traitors, I guess vulgar language in the Senate is hardly upsetting to you.

3. "... to Bring Honor and Dignity back to Washington..."
... maybe someone here who posts to FR can ask how Big Time Dick's obscene outburst squares with the above campaign promise.

5. Except when one of theirs is a violator. Recall when Bush called
Adam Clymer, the NYT reporter, an a-hole? That was ok with the "churchified", too.

6. In their defense....
if just one Democrat-with-a-spine would walk up to Dubya and say the same thing, I would also applaud that person to no end. I think it shows Cheney is desperate and sooooo afraid the sheeple will find out all of his little secrets. We can sure hope that happens; then in November the entire country can say to Cheney "Go fuck yourself!".

9. Fair point
I probably would too. However, I'll maintain we'd do better than "...and the horse he rode in on!!!" :eyes:

...That's on par with "yeah? YEAH? Well... well, so's your mom." :)

13. Its not the word itself... its the HYPOCRASY.
Edited on Thu Jun-24-04 09:42 PM by japanduh
I have nothing against a political leader letting loose a randy word every now and then. I do it, my friends do it, my folks have been known to do it now and then - its everywhere. But its goddamned hypocritical when the jerks in office do it,

These are the same people who call Democrats "Wild-eyed" and "angry" and claim to stand for good, wholesome, Christian morality - wielding the power of the FCC to shutdown inadvertant flashes of a tit, or Howard Stern's supposed "obscenity". At the same time, their 2nd in Command goes around cursing like a sailor.

Hyprocrasy? You're soaking in it.

8. Remember how they went into a lather over Kerry's use in an interview?
I think it's far worse to tell someone to "go fuck yourself" on the floor of the US Senate....

10. There are multiple references in the freeper thread to that interview
...every third post is "Didn't Kerry say the "f" word in Rolling Stone?"

Kerry is slowly becoming Clinton's Penis, which...to ME...is a sure sign that he will be #44 in November.

:toast:
